Java Estate - Jampit

Price: $ 10.99 / 16oz(454g)

Description:
From an exotic Indonesian Island...

Java Estate - Jampit!

As a stand alone coffee, Java Estate has enjoyed a popular following because in North America, Java has become synonymous with the word coffee itself. Coffees from Java have smaller than average beans for the most part, have a sweet acidity, but a distinct Indonesian spicy note with chocolatey textures and undertones. The coffee is milder than its bold cousin to the west in Sumatra.

All Java Estate coffees are wet processed, clean in the cup, and roast nice and even from tip to tip. A true pleasure to roast, not to mention taste!

Throughout the 600 mile chain of volcanoes that run the entire length of Java, many private coffee plantations on the highland slopes and in the valleys, between 4000' and 5000' level can be found. In this range, 15 volcanoes rise about 10,000 feet and 44 are between 6500 and 10,000 feet. Blawan, Jampit, Pancoer and Kayumas, 18th century Dutch Government Coffee Estates, are the excellent producers of this popular blender we all enjoy as Mocha Java (Java Estate comprising the "Java" side of the Mocha Java blend). The estates are located less than 100 miles from Bali on the Ijean Plateau of East Java.

Watch for the chocolately undernotes to appear early in the sip, and also early in the aftertaste. Quite delicious, and one of our current favorites to sip here at the roastery when we are not cupping other coffees.

But with all of this... what's the VERY best part about our Java Estate Jampit? It hasn't been roasted yet! Right now, as you read this, the very Java Estate you are considering is sitting here in our facility, green, raw, unroasted, waiting for you to order. We will not roast it until YOU order it. Now THAT is fresh coffee, and THAT is Cobblestone.

Enjoy!
