Description:
Urnex Cleancaf is a coffee maker cleaner and descaler designed for any brand of home automatic drip coffee brewer. The box contains 3 single use packages, and it is recommended to use the cleaner once a month. The solution attacks mineral buildup, lime scale and rancid oils at the same time, unlike white vinegar or lime juice. If you have an automatic drip brewer and haven't cleaned it in 6 months I can guarantee that you are producing tainted cups of coffee! If your brewer takes longer and longer to brew or the coffee doesnt seem hot enough than you need to descale the heat coils. Brewing coffee below the proper temperature (195 to 200 f) will not make good coffee! This cleaner is food safe and non-toxic. It is recommended for both home filter-drip coffeemakers and as a through-the-tank cleaner for many espresso machines.
Instructions for Use:
1. Dissolve contents of Cleancaf™ package in 4 cups of warm water. Pour into water reservoir. Put empty pot and filter basket in place. For espresso machines attach handle and place an empty container below.
2. Turn machine on and begin the brew cycle. Espresso machines, also allow several ounces of Cleancaf™ solution to flow through steam pipe (into a container to avoid spray.) Discard entire solution once it has passed through your machine.
3. Rinse all components and repeat steps 1 and 2 twice with clean water only. Espresso machines remove handle. You may soak handle and filters in Cleancaf™ solution then rinse all components with clean water.
